Opening and Key Themes
The programme kicks off with an opening session featuring João Moutão, Maria Potes Barbas, António Fidalgo, and Céu Martins. This will be followed by a keynote speech on The Future of European Competitiveness and Skills by member of European Parliament, Sebastião Bugalho and a talk on Future Jobs and Digital Communications in the AI Era by Vânia Neto from Microsoft Portugal. Later in the day, participants will engage in inspirational talks, where experts will share success stories and insights on navigating the digital world. The afternoon will feature an in-depth discussion on disruptive and generative AI, led by Saso Koceski from Goce University, followed by a hands-on session on Chatbot Aggregator GenAI platforms with Ivo Benedito. The day concludes with a welcome dinner at Quinta da Lagoalva in Alpiarça, providing an informal networking space for participants, speakers, and organizers.

Work Dignity and AI Ethics
Tuesday begins with a session on Work Dignity Research Support, covering essential topics such as ethics in research, access to data, cybersecurity, AI usage, and impact reviews. Experts such as Corina Dragan, Filipe Madeira, Ana Pérez Escoda, and Eduardo Pilo will guide participants through best practices for ethical engagement with AI in professional environments. The morning continues with a workshop on designing AI-driven solutions through empathy mapping, facilitated by Sílvia Nunes, Andreia Teles Vieira, and Maria Potes Barbas. This session will provide practical tools for developing user-centered digital solutions. In the afternoon, participants will explore the question “Should we be scared of AI?” in a workshop led by Natasa Koceska from Goce University. The day will close with a visit to the mayor and a guided tour of Santarém’s Gothic heritage, offering a cultural perspective on historical and modern transformations in society.

Cultural Immersion and Idea Development
Midweek, the programme shifts to a cultural and experiential learning day. Participants will travel to Nazaré and Óbidos, two iconic locations in Portugal, for networking and sightseeing. In the afternoon, the focus returns to innovation with the session “Surf Your GenAI Ideas”, where João Moutão, Nuno Pimenta, and Telmo Teotónio will challenge participants to develop creative approaches to AI integration in their fields of expertise.

Innovation, Skills and Future Talent
Thursday’s sessions are dedicated to fostering innovation and preparing for the future job market. The morning starts with a discussion on building a culture of innovation and problem-solving, featuring António Fidalgo and José António Carriço from ISTEC. This is followed by expert-led workshops on emerging job profiles, talent inflow, AI-based CV creation, and multimodal learning experiences. Key contributors include Maria Koutsbomgera, Evan Kapros, Paulo Duarte, Andreia Vieira, and Ivo Benedito, who will guide participants in exploring how AI is reshaping professional opportunities and skills development. In the afternoon, participants will take part in interactive parallel workshops, offering deeper engagement with AI applications in digital communications, research, and career development. The day concludes with the “Align, Act, Accelerate” Report Presentation, where Manuel Heitor and António Fidalgo will discuss research, technology, and innovation strategies to enhance European competitiveness. This is followed by a formal Work Dignity Dinner, bringing together members of European Alliances, ambassadors, Erasmus+ representatives, and Predict EU partners.

Final Discussions and Lisbon Exploration
The final day of the programme will focus on global competition and work dignity, featuring a talk on the challenges of increasing global competition with Paulo Branco. Participants will then have the chance to meet with industry leaders, NGOs, and European project representatives in face-to-face meetings, gaining valuable professional insights and networking opportunities. The programme concludes with a Lisbon sightseeing tour, exclusively for international partners, allowing them to experience Portugal’s capital while reflecting on the week’s learnings.
